He even made Sooraj Venjarammood look good. I hate to pick on Indrajith again, I loved him in "Messha Madhavan", "Classmates" etc., but he was a total disaster in this movie. Let the situations and subtle actions make the viewers laugh, not loud costumes and total confusion on screen. Does pierced ears mean being cool? So, why not pierce the nose as well.īeing funny does not mean acting as a total idiot. Jayasurya was so confused as to which shirt he should wear in some of the scenes that he chose to wear two or sometime three shirts one over the other some fashion sense. Or was he trying to compete with Salman Khan in "No Entry", Dear Indrajith chetta Salman loves being a buffoon its not fashion. There is a scene where they meet for dinner, Indrajith shows up wearing black latex shirt and tightest jeans he could find in store. Did Indrajith really think he looked good in those costumes? Well he would fit in well if he was enacting a gay. I wonder if they bought the costumes off post-carnival clearance racks in Brazil. In this movie, another dimension was added to this carefree attitude of hers she made money for just spending time with desperate men aka "escort". In "Rithu" she was a carefree modern woman who thought like a man when it came to relationships.
HAPPY HUSBANDS MALAYALAM MOVIE MOVIE
Her role in this movie was just an extension of her classy "Rithu". She did not have the freedom to show some skin as Bipasha in the Hindi original "No Entry", and still be considered as a classy actress.
The only other star worth mentioning is Reema, she did well within the constraints of not going overboard as a vamp in a Malayalam movie, or she would be labeled as a B-grade actress. Jayasurya did not have much of a scope in this movie, all he had to do was act shocked every other minute. Bhavana did a fair job trying to match his wits. Jairam is certainly a born actor, he does justice to all the roles he has played.
The only relief in this movie was "Jairam". A good plot, a good star cast, good locales, but a very bad direction, make the "Happy Husbands" Happy, but not the viewers.
